An expensive morning at the vet... Glory needed her annual shots and Simon had an itchy butt. Apparently one of Simon's anal glands is infected, so he'll be getting two different pills for the next week, but then should be fine. Good thing I love 'em because vet visits are damned pricey for a cheapskate such as I.

I went to the library this afternoon wearing a Heber Springs t-shirt and a man stopped me to ask if it was in Arkansas. When I said that it was, he told me he had a friend in Flippin. Really? At least he didn't ask if I knew him. And speaking of Arkansas, Gretchen and I caught up on the phone this afternoon so I can stay abreast of Heber happenings. I hope to make a visit up there sometime in September, when I can't take the heat another day.
