Praise God, I finally got my cabinet hardware installed today and took a little comfort in the fact that it took the handyman well over an hour to finish what I had started. Fortunately, he was able to hide my mis-drills so that the mistakes I made are not visible. I'm thrilled!

He also put a new ceiling fan in the living room. I'd really been looking forward to a fan with a remote control (which I've never had), so when he announced, "There aren't any parts left, so I must be done," my first question was, "What about this remote control sitting right here?" And his reply... "Oh no, it has to be wired into the motor!" and I could tell he was done. He offered to come back another time, but I'll see how I survive in the interim. But damn - that's the reason I picked this fan! At least he's cheap.
