Hallelujah and praise be to God!!! I got my new glasses today with prisms and I no longer have to drive with one eye closed... it's a miracle! I was so skeptical that this was going to work and I'm still amazed. I've tried to downplay my nervousness about driving, especially on the freeway, but it's over now and I'm thrilled. Now I'll just bask in the feeling of safe driving and wait till my next eye problem. I don't see this getting any better, but we've certainly made one giant leap forward.

And this evening we had 18 women going to a new Italian restaurant. The food was superb (and cheap) but there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant. The owner/chef ran out for a minute to explain to us that they had two servers who were no shows, and you certainly can't blame them for that. They knew we were coming, so I believed him. Convincing all of the ladies that he still deserved a good tip was hard, but I think I might have swayed a few.
