I had a perfect trip to Memphis today... airport parking was a cinch, both airports were calm, the weather was beautiful, and my baby brother was waiting for me at the bottom of the escalator when I arrived. This is my first trip to Memphis since he moved here 13 years ago (mainly because Heber Springs was between Memphis and Fayetteville and it was always all about Mom and Dad). His new home is beautiful and, I'm happy to report, spotless. I will definitely be back and hopefully in the summer because he has a great looking pool. We came home from the airport so I could see the house, then pressed on to the grocery store and liquor store so I could buy my necessities. As soon as we got back I wanted a glass of wine, at which time we discovered that he was unable to locate a wine opener, so out we went again. Now we're good.
We had a great dinner tonight with his best friends, Brian and Christina, which was delicious and fun. And now we await the arrival of Joe and Mary Jane tomorrow. I'm so happy to be here.
