We're having horribly cold, windy, and rainy weather today so the only thing I did was go to the Y (and that's a good thing).

So here's a nice story instead: The other day, as the dogs and I were coming back from our afternoon outing, we came across an older man asking a woman in a car if she knew where Katy Arbor Lane was. She said she didn't, so then he asked me. I, too, replied that I knew I'd seen it, but wasn't sure where it is. As two other women approached, I walked on by and he asked them. One was giving him directions and I could tell it wasn't near by. And that's when it hit me that he was lost. I can't imagine why it took so long for it register, but I turned back and asked him if he lived there. He said yes and that he'd been walking for an hour and couldn't find it. So I told him to walk with me to my house, which was fortunately very close by, and then offered to take him home. He looked so relieved and my heart was about to burst. His name is Eddie and he's my new friend (although I doubt he'll remember me). But now I'll certainly be more vigilant and eager to help anyone who appears to be lost. A very good lesson for me.
