While Bella's dad (Sam) was working today and her mom (Emily) was sitting in the bitter cold watching Hudson play soccer, we were having a lovely day. It was meant to be a math workshop/fun afternoon, but I'm afraid the math took a backseat... my fault, not Bella's. We worked for a while, then  went out to lunch, stopped by the library, and hit the sweet shops at La Centerra. First we got red velvet cake pops at my favorite bakery and then went to her favorite candy shop, which just happened to be very close by. She got me to try green tea Kit Kats, which I rationalized as being healthy, and they were delicious! There were a lot of international candies in this store and these Kit Kats were from Japan. I'm hoping the health benefits outweighed the evil of sugar, and although I seriously doubt it, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Then we came back and worked on a little more math before I took her home. Another cold, drizzly day and we rose above it. She's a fun kid!
