Finally I got to see Cali to give her the birthday present I was so excited about. As you can see, she loved it and named him Mike. After she chose his name, I told her that was my dog's name when I was her age. She said that made it even more special.

This evening a few rebels and I formed a splinter group from the regular Friday night diners. That group is so big and dining out is often an issue with so many separate checks. We were only four and had a much better time, so will see if there are any repercussions. Otherwise, we will continue to rebel.
