I made a serious error in judgment today, but fortunately, made it through the trial. A new Petco opened in the neighborhood and I had a coupon for 20% off, so had to go in, of course. There was a sign out front noting that there were adoptions today, but I ignored it and barreled through. Stupid, stupid me. I very nearly came home with a cute little black pug which had been rescued from a puppy mill, but thankfully, common sense overruled my heart. I've decided that if I ever see a similar sign again, I will turn around and go home.

Our Friday night dinner was a bit of a bachelorette party this evening. My down-the-street neighbor is getting married on Sunday and is pretty stressed out about it. We didn't really do anything different except have a few toasts and wish her well. He's moving in with her for a while until they build a house elsewhere in Katy. I'll miss her!
