Kay and Kori came over this afternoon and while Kori napped, Kay and I shared a couple of adult beverages and then changed the batteries in all my smoke alarms (4). We were a bit of the blind leading the blind, but I don't like to get on a ladder when I'm home alone, especially when I don't know what I'm doing. At one point, Kay even commented that we were Lucy and Ethel and I couldn't disagree. But by the time the last one was done we were both professionals. And we were always happy (and somewhat surprised) to see that little green light.  It was magic.

And back to Simon... as long as he has the full dosage of Xanax, he's back to normal. But when I try to cut in in half, he's still a little edgy. And I don't have to watch the time because when it wears off, he immediately begins panting and acting anxious. Don't know what the vet will say about this, but I think he's a prime candidate for extended drug therapy.
