First fail with the coloring for kids this afternoon. One of the books I bought is geometric shapes so I thought perhaps the 11-year-old boy would enjoy it... wrong! Fortunately I also brought a deck of cards and that was what he preferred. Win some, you lose some, but I still enjoy it. My first attempt is on the left, but I hope to get better.

This evening we had a singles potluck at the clubhouse. Out of five tables, one was filled with the winos. We had several bottles on the table and were all having a very good time until the rug was pulled out from under us. The leader had us all number off and then the odd numbers had to move to the next table while the even numbers stayed put. At least half of us got to stay together, but it definitely threw us off our game.However I did get to know some other people, so it wasn't all bad. And the food was great (I had three desserts).
