One of my neighbors is into drama and started a two week drama class at Krause House, where Hope is living. I offered to help and today was our first day. Quite an experience! We're going to put on two short plays and started today with casting and a couple of readings. We started with 11 girls and by the time class was over, the number had dwindled to six. We barely noticed the ones leaving and just assumed they were going to the restroom or to get a drink of water, but none returned. When we asked the volunteer coordinator about it, she said that it's not abnormal for the girls to lose interest quickly. It's not going to be easy to put on a play without knowing who's going to be there day to day. I suppose tomorrow will be more telling and I can't be there, but hope springs eternal.
