Well, our 4th was definitely ruined by rain because Rob had planned a pool party with grilled steaks, but we still had a good time. Rob's friends, Brian and Christina, came over with their 8-yr-old nephew and 14-yr-old niece, Chris and Brenda both went swimming in the rain, but didn't stay long because the water was too cold. Christina was our master griller and the steaks were deelish (fortunately the rain let up just when she needed to start cooking).


After they left Joe, Rob, Chris, Brenda and I sat outside till 12:30 creating new drink ideas, since we were out of wine. Luckily I was smart enough to pace myself with water in between drinks. I really do love Chris and Brenda and hope I can go visit them sometime in New York. They're so much fun!
