I feel very fortunate to have made it home safely without encountering any serious bad weather. I have a friend stuck at Love Field in Dallas having to find shelter from a potential tornado and I'm sure this scenario is playing out elsewhere as well. I'm praying for all the families of those who lost their lives yesterday due to tornadoes and hoping there aren't more.

On a very happy note, one of my Katy friends has a 25-year old granddaughter who has cystic fibrosis. She volunteered with us at Krause House last summer and really connected well with the adolescent girls there. But since October she's been in and out of the hospital fighting for her life and awaiting a lung transplant. And yesterday she got her very own Christmas miracle... a new set of lungs. So far she's responding well, but of course, has a long way to go. And now we continue to pray for Hailey, as well as the family of the donor who made a very difficult decision on Christmas Day.
