I hate to laugh at someone else's expense (and it was a BIG expense), but this was pretty funny. Especially since it wasn't me. Our dinner group met at a very upscale steak house called Perry's. We go there occasionally before 4:00 because their normally priced $38 pork chop is $14 on Fridays at lunch and you can easily get three meals out of it. However everyone doesn't always want the pork chop so some order off the lunch menu. The woman next to me ordered the seafood tower which was on the appetizer menu and when the waiter asked if she wanted small or large, she said large because she thought the price of the small was $9.95. It was very dark in there and I didn't think to ask her if she needed to borrow the flashlight on my phone.

So what is pictured is what she got. And much of what you see is decoration. When the checks came she asked me to tell her the total. When I saw it, I was horrified and didn't want to tell her. But I had to and when I said her bill was $89, she almost passed out (as would have I). She had a $10 glass of wine and the tip was included. The actual cost of the tower was $59.95! Can you imagine?  And she had very little to take home. Yikes!
