Now that the chapter of Mom has closed, I'm anxious to see what happens next in my book of life. Feel free to come along as I start my new journey.

I was happy that I got to see Hope today and I'm sick that I can't take pictures of her due to confidentiality. She had some serious anger issues in the last few weeks, which is why I was unable to visit her last Saturday. She's half Native American and half Hispanic, so has beautiful long, straight black hair. However, when she came out today I was shocked! In her anger, she'd cut off all her hair and obviously it wasn't pretty, so a member of the staff gave her a burr cut. She was quick to point out that she donated her hair to Locks of Love and I was proud of her for that. But the funny part is that she had on one of those elastic hairbands with a little flower that mothers put on their babies so people can tell that the baby is a girl. I didn't want to laugh, but it was really hysterical.
