The wine group took a field trip this evening. We didn't actually go very far, but there was a wine tasting nearby (which was free), so we decided to try it out. We've really got such a great group of women and had such a fun time. We had a little bit of a meeting and made some decisions to have even more fun. One of us is looking into renting a party bus to go to Solado, TX, which is an art town north of Austin, in December. Apparently they have a couple of wineries and great Christmas lights, so hopefully this will work out.

Then I suggested that we advertise in our weekly newsletter for other single women who like wine and could start a second group to meet every other Tuesday. I think it's a good idea because when I first moved here, if I'd known about a group like this, I could have made good friends a whole lot sooner. Everyone agreed and since I'm the wine leader, I'll be in charge of this after the first of the year. You just can't have too many friends, if you ask me.
