The dogs and I got our first soaking this morning. We were about a mile from home when a torrential downpour caught us unaware. We were all soaked to the skin by the time we got home and it took quite a while to get them dry (in between all the shaking).

Sunday now means brunch in the Heights or thereabouts. An old friend came today who I probably haven't seen in 15 years. She's been busy raising children and her youngest is now a senior in high school so she'll be a part of the gang in a year. The best part is that she lives in Katy and is obviously younger than me, so she can be my driver!
