I read the blog for most of the day. How tedious! Here's what I learned:
1) I was a serious micromanager at both nursing homes Mom was in, but it was a little bit necessary. 2) I cannot believe that people read it day in and day out because it was just the same thing over and over. 3) She had such a good sense of humor and we laughed together more than I remember. And actually, I don't remember ever doing that with her prior to those last few years.

Tomorrow we leave for Rockport. I'm nervous about the dogs but looking forward to getting away. First time since I moved here, but I really haven't felt the need. That's in direct contrast to my last few years in Heber when getaways were crucial to my mental health. In actuality, I feel I really am a homebody. That's not necessarily a good thing, but I don't mind. I like my home and my little family of dogs.
