Took my first tumble in Texas this morning and it was pretty comical... wish someone had recorded it. I was out walking the dogs (the only source of all my falls) and bent down to get Glory untangled from the leashes. I had both leashes and the poop bag in one hand and my phone in the other. We had gotten into uncharted waters and I needed to see where I was. Thankfully I was bending down, so didn't fall very far, but once I got off balance, gravity took over. It truly was in slow motion because I landed on one knee first and thought I'd caught myself... not so. Then I slowly rolled onto my hip and again, thought I was done... wrong again. I continued to roll completely onto my side and my feet went up in the air. Wish I could've seen it! Of course, the first thing I did was check to see if anyone had witnessed this fiasco because I didn't want any old folks rushing to assist the elderly damsel in distress. I was fine and only have a skinned knee to show for it because fortunately it was cool this morning and I had on long sleeves. And the best part of all is that I didn't let go of the leashes or the phone. I never do when I fall but one of these days, if I ever go down face first, I hope a tiny bit of sensibility will kick in. Time will tell.

  1. When I fell, I cracked three ribs, tore up my arm and knee and it still hurts every time I breathe. Maybe I should take up yoga. Especially that gas passing position. Sorry you fell but glad you didn't suffer too much. No one saw me fall, and when I finally got into the house bleeding all over, Karen got mad at me for falling. No way to win. At least your dogs still loved you and wanted to lick your face.

Love you sis, take care on those walks.
