I was happy when I woke up this morning because I realized that today was the kickoff to my three day birthday festival. My cleaning lady came today, which is always a gift in and of itself. Then I went to run errands. I first stopped off at Sharon's son-in-law's photography studio to drop off some rawhide for their dog (Glory cracked a tooth and can't have it anymore). He showed me around and then asked how my mentoring was going. He's the one who gave me the info to begin with and decided to do it himself because I was doing it. We each shared a few stories and then I was off for the rest of my stops.
First was Costco where I managed to hit major snack time. And then it was wine tasting day at the grocery store! I couldn't have planned it any better.
One of my neighbors brought me a little gift at dinner tonight. It was a great start to what I know will be a great weekend.
P.S. I've decided that my birthday is such a big deal because I never had children to steal my thunder. and that's not a bad thing. God really knew what he was doing.
