I went to see Thomas, my 10-year-old mentee, this afternoon. I'm so surprised that it took so long to develop a relationship, but now we really have fun together. He can't believe that I don't remember every single thing he tells me (like what his 3rd favorite book series is), so he's challenged me to remember certain things for next week. I guess this is good for both of us, and intend to practice every day until then.

And now I just finished tutoring Bella, Sharon's granddaughter. I feel badly because I don't get the way she's being taught and she has a test tomorrow. I feel like a parent! I can show her other ways to do it, but I don't think that's a good idea. We're going to work on this together... I'll go to her teacher's website as well as the textbook website and figure this out one way or another. I need a good challenge.
