I've never been a proponent of taking one's car to a dealership for regularly scheduled maintenance until today. I had to take my car in for a software update (to get Siri Eyes Free... can't wait to try it out) and mentioned that the light had come on for service. I planned on asking about the cost and then checking into neighborhood auto shops and comparing prices. But Andres, the MAN, said they could do it today while it was there because I was getting a loaner anyway. When I found out how long it would take, I insisted that I didn't have time because I had to be back in Katy this afternoon. He quickly responded that I didn't have to bring the loaner back today, so no big deal. Since I have to go into Houston tomorrow anyway, it sounded like a plan. And unlike the Honda dealership, where I got a tiny, stripped down car, Acura gave me a nicer, bigger car than mine. I'm sure the cost is high, but can't complain about the amenities. And I love Andres... told him I want him to be my car guy and he agreed. A match made in heaven (as long as I can cough up the bucks).
