I'm soooo disappointed (for the second time in five days). My little friend, Cali, had a birthday on Friday and I got her a very special gift. I was so excited to give it to her until her teacher emailed me that morning, saying that Cali was home sick. So I went today with all the anticipation of seeing the happiness on her face, but sadly, she's still sick. The school secretary told me that there's a large number of kids out with the flu. Boo hoo.

Not sure when I'll see her to give her the present, but I'll tell you about it in the meantime. After her parents divorced last year, she told me that all of her stuffed animals got "lost" in the move. He was actually her stepfather and not the first. Very sad situation, but she loved that dad and never sees him any more. It's heartbreaking. She told me that her dad had given her a stuffed koala bear that was her favorite and she missed that one the most. So of course you can guess what I got her... the most adorable koala bear I've ever seen. I'll try to take a picture of her when she opens it, but we're not supposed to take photos of the children. I'll be very sneaky.
