I had lunch today with a couple (married) of old friends who I only see about twice a year. They own an RV and are in Houston for six months of the year and then travel around the US for the other six. They're heading out May 1, so I won't see them again till they return in September. We discussed the Bruce Jenner interview that was on Friday night and they agreed with my feelings about it. I started watching strictly out of curiosity, never thinking that I'd stay with it the whole two hours. But I have to admit it was fascinating and very informative. I learned so much about transgender people and can now only feel compassion for them. No one would make that choice deliberately because it is such a difficult path to follow. I only hope that the people who watched it feel the same. And of course, the ones who should have watched it didn't, so there is still so much to overcome. The way I've always felt is that if another person is expressing who they are and they're not hurting anyone else, it is absolutely none of my business. God bless them.
