While the dogs and I were on our morning walk, I heard a loud whoosh and couldn't imagine what it was. Imagine my surprise when I saw the hot air balloon in the photo on the right. What a great way to start the day!

I got to visit with Hope this afternoon and took the coloring books. She loved it! We listened to music, chatted, and colored together. She has real anger issues, so I think it was really good for her.

This evening we had a block party and it was quite a success. There are probably 15 houses on our block and almost everyone was there. I made brownies (as did three others) so we we weren't lacking chocolate. We met in the cul de sac and it was nice visiting people that I've only waved at for the last year. Before we headed home we all decided to make it an annual event.
