Now that the chapter of Mom has closed, I'm anxious to see what happens next in my book of life. Feel free to come along as I start my new journey.

I went to the doctor this morning for a urinary tract infection. Not a big deal, but a nuisance nevertheless. But here's the good news: the doctor faxed three prescriptions to my pharmacy at the Walmart Neighborhood Market. They didn't have one of them, but offered to call and transfer it to another pharmacy. When I went to pick it up, the cost (with insurance) was $108. I said never mind and the pharmacist came out to show me a similar product sold over the counter. Now granted, neither place was busy at the time, but I felt that both pharmacists went out of their way to help me. And that makes me smile, except for every hour when I have to go pee.
