Glory had her annual checkup this morning and I learned that I've been a horrible mom. She's been licking one of her back paws for several weeks now, but I haven't paid too much attention because I was too wrapped up in my own problems. I also knew that her appointment was soon, so just played Scarlett in the interim. The dog walker even pointed out what she thought was the problem and dammit if she didn't nail it. Glory's dewclaw (a fifth claw that kind of hangs off the side) was so long that it had curved around and was growing back into her leg (OUCH!). It was infected and had to be causing her a lot of pain. So the vet cut it, as well as the one on the other leg, and removed it from her skin. Needless to say it was quite infected, so now she's on antibiotics and pain pills. I debated taking one of her pills, but hate to be a worse mother than I've already been. Hopefully, she'll be better real soon.

Later I went to the chiropractor, which relieved some of the awful pain I was feeling yesterday. As long as I can have a good day now and then, I think I'll survive this.
