Even better day in Napa today. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and there was absolutely no indication of fires, which apparently aren't nearly as close as the media is making it appear. We walked around downtown Napa this morning and then pressed on to two more wineries. The first was recommended by our tour guide yesterday and we learned that the tasting room guys are much more generous to a small group than a large one. The second was recommended by a friend of Andrea's who told us to drop her name. Bingo! He gave us eight pours instead of five. Then after we each bought a bottle of our favorite, he only charged us for one $25 tasting fee instead of three and put a free $50 bottle of another one we liked a lot into our box.

Once we got back to Andrea's she made us a florentine quiche that was wonderful and we shared our free wine with it. Gretchen and I have really been impressed with Andrea's culinary skills. Really, really good. After dinner I came to Gretchen's to spend the night before we head to Lake Tahoe tomorrow. I love a progressive vacation!

Too much information? Sorry, but if you can't tell, I'm really having a wonderful time!
