Even though there was a driving rainstorm, I had to go visit Hope and tutor Derricka this afternoon, especially since I'll be gone the next two Saturdays. The receptionist told me she was so happy I came because even though most of us like to curl up in front of the TV or with a book on days like this, the girls go stir crazy because they can't go outside. I confessed that the thought had crossed my mind, but knowing that all of these girls have probably been disappointed by many people throughout their young lives, I certainly wasn't going to be one of them. And when it was time to leave, the sun was shining on me.

Day two without the cane and I even walked around two blocks this morning with the dogs. There are no words to express how happy I am!
