Lunch today was with Betty and Mike Headley. I worked with Betty for nine years at Pelto Oil Co. and we've remained good friends ever since (even though I left in 1992). We spent many of my birthdays in New Orleans and discussed an encore sometime in the future.

I discovered that today is National Happy Hour Day and debated contacting some of the wine women to join me at our favorite happy hour place. However I reconsidered after thinking about all the extra calories I'm consuming this week, so just enjoyed my own private celebration on the patio with the dogs. Cheers!
