I came back home and worked on taxes again, but I really think I'm done this time. I even wrote a letter of apology to the IRS because I gave them false information by accident regarding Mom's trust, which led to a stern letter from them stating that I owed them returns for the last seven years. Without going into great detail, the trust changed names upon her death, which means I really don't have to do the returns. We'll see how this goes, but I was very professional as well as apologetic. Think they'll forgive me?
Now that the chapter of Mom has closed, I'm anxious to see what happens next in my book of life. Feel free to come along as I start my new journey.

My cleaning lady couldn't come yesterday, so came today instead. It wasn't a problem, but since I like to be gone at least part of the time she's here, I set out for a morning of shopping and walking. First, I walked the mall, then headed to Costco for some dog biscuits (yeah, right). The good news is I only spent $73 and the better news is that I had lunch at all the sampling stations. It was a slow, rainy day and the traffic was horrendous, which only proved that I don't need to go out on Saturdays.
