I joined the YMCA last week because I learned that membership is free with my supplemental insurance plan. Today I went to my first class and I think this will be great for me. This Y is gigantic... if I had to guess, there were at least 200 people there when I was, in many different classes. There's an indoor pool, as well as an outdoor one, but I'm only going into the water as a last resort. I know it's better for bad joints and with my ankle and both shoulders, it might be what I need. But not yet.

The class I went to today is specifically for seniors and there were maybe 40 people there, men and women. It was pretty easy, but a good way to ease into this. I've got three or four other classes I want to try and then I'll decide on a schedule (I must have a schedule... my OCD at work). The good news, or bad as I first saw it, is that I have to go eight times a month for my insurance to pay. That's definitely a good incentive for a cheapskate like me!
