The Lyons family Christmas party was a huge success. Santa (Uncle Rick) came for the kids, as well as a great magician who entertained everyone. Charles and Adrienne were excellent hosts, as usual, all the food was exceptional, and a great time was had by all. I felt it was a great way to celebrate Mom's 100th birthday. Ten years ago today she and I were moving into Vinegar Hill and it seems like forever ago. She would have loved this party (from a chair somewhere in the corner and away from all the chaos). I miss her and love her and I'm so happy I could spend her birthday with family. It wasn't intentional but it was a perfect celebration.

  1. We thought about Mom, too, yesterday, but there were just three of us here--as there usually are. Kinda bummed we couldn't find a ham, but John got some ribs, so we will still be eating in style. So glad you are surrounded (and I mean surrounded--like Custer) with family and friends. We love you.
