Boy, oh boy, do I love a bargain! I got this lovely bouquet at HEB this morning for half price. I'll have to remember that February 15 is the best day for buying fresh flowers. But you may notice that the water is blue. I read once that denture cleaning tablets are good for keeping flowers fresh longer. After I saw it, I saved some of Mom's tablets and tried it for the first time today. I had to toss the tablets because the blue water is too weird for me. But the water does match the blue dog.

But the greatest deal I got is the two animal paintings I just got for my dining room. I got each picture, unframed, on sale for $13 each. I had them hanging frameless when Bella's dad, Sam, stopped by to pick her up after tutoring. He admired them and I commented that I was going to get them framed. He instantly jumped in and said he'd be happy to frame them. He owns a portrait studio, which includes framing. I swear that it never occurred to me and I resisted, but he said he would absolutely do it since I tutor Bella for free. Bartering at its finest. Sam's the man!
