I knew that once I got into my taxes it would go fast, but I didn't remember why. And now I know that Turbotax starts with your income and when you see the taxes due on income, you have to go straight into deductions to see how much you can reduce the taxes owed amount. So I'm proud to report that I finished this afternoon and I wasn't horrified (once the deductions were factored in). So I'm done and I'm proud. It's a monumental effort, but such a feeling of exhilaration when it's done... and I don't owe too much.
