It wasn't a pretty Easter day, but it mattered not. I started my personal worship with Charles's blog this morning. Then I met Allison and Roy for brunch at Federal Grill, which was delicious. I was unaware it was a prix fixe three course meal, but I wasn't sorry either. I had fried oysters for an appetizer, salmon for my main course (which I brought home intact), and cheese cake. I knew I had more places to go with more food, so couldn't over-indulge.
Next stop... Cathy's. Three of her kids were there with their kids and I did manage to abstain from food and beverages at that point. But Cathy had made me some rice and pea salad to bring home. It's one of my all time favorites, but has too many ingredients for me to tackle at this stage of my life.
Then I headed to Sharon's where many of the other cousins had gathered. More wine, more good food, and lots of laughs before heading home. Plus the grandkids had their Easter egg hunt, which is really what's it all about. Kitty was there and brought me some dark chocolate covered berries to bring home. I'm set for the week and happy that I had my family fix.
